How to Prepare
The DFC Program will publish an RFA in mid-January 2015. You will find it at www.samhsa.gov, www.grants.gov and www.whitehouse.gov/ondcp/drug-free-communities-support-program. Once posted, interested coalitions should read the RFA to determine if they are statutorily eligible to apply for funding. These requirements are listed in the RFA and at http://www.whitehouse.gov/ondcp/information-for-potential-applicants. After this determination is made, coalitions should come prepared to the New Applicant Workshop with questions related to the completion of the RFA. It is imperative that participants have read and re-read the RFA prior to attending the New Applicant Workshop.
There is no fee to attend, however, advance registration is recommended. Please note that this is a separate registration process from the CADCA Forum, so please make sure to complete the registration if you wish to attend the Friday workshop. To register on-line, click here for the online link.
For information regarding the content of the workshop, please feel free to contact Victoria Cummiskey at Victoria_Cummiskey@ondcp.eop.gov.
