Calling all change-makers!

You, yes YOU, are a crucial part of building our network of coalitions!

Youth are an essential part of the coalition building process. Youth bring critical insight to what they are facing every day in their communities. We know you see the real deal in your community every day, and that’s why we need youth leaders’ insight to move our prevention work forward. CADCA’s mission is to build the capacity of community coalitions and one of the ways CADCA accomplishes its mission is through the development of youth leaders.

CADCA has witnessed youth leaders move mountains in their communities as members in their local coalition. Youth leaders have transformed local parks from risky places to family-friendly safe havens. Youth have changed local ordinances and testified at state hearings on powdered alcohol regulation, and because of YOUR VOICE we have seen major impact! That is why CADCA hosts the Youth Leadership Summit as a part of CADCA’s National Leadership Forum because you are integral to the success of the prevention field. We want to invest in your current and future efforts to be revolutionary community leaders!

Get ready to meet us in the nation’s capital for a jam-packed Youth Leadership Summit with hands-on training sessions led by industry experts and fellow youth leaders. We have so many training sessions for you to choose from available in two formats: workshops (3 hours) and presentations (75-minutes). Sessions and workshops will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so make sure you make a plan of action to ensure you get the opportunity to attend the session you want!
A session will be closed once the room reaches capacity.

We can’t wait to greet you at Forum! While you prepare to join us remember to get ready to dance at our yearly Youth Dance held in the Cherry Ballroom this year, and hangout with us at the Youth Meet Up N’Chill! It’s all about connecting, making new friends, and showing that prevention rocks harder than substance use.
